Perferct Ending to a Perfect Season

Tanya and I were fortunate enough to attend the U of U vs. BYU football game this past weekend. Never had a Utah vs. BYU game meant so much. #7 Utah came in with an 11-0 record and a BCS berth on the line. #14 BYU came in with a 10-1 record and the possibility of ruining Utah's perfect season. Although Utah was favored by 7 points this was by no means going to be an easy win. For some reason this game usually comes down to the last minute. After the Oregon St. & TCU games I was ready for anything knowing Utah could win, but was secretly hoping the game would be decided before the final drive. The game started off well with Utah dominating the first quarter. The second quarter brought the winds of change. BYU, as usual, came storming back; tying the game at 17s. Utah answered with a field goal and then gave the ball back to BYU with a little time remaining in the first half to either tie or take the lead. Then (as Austin Collie would put it) "Magic Happened." BYU's savior, Max Hall threw his first interception. This lead to a Utah touchdown. At half the score was 27-17 Utah. BYU came out in the 3rd and scored right away. 27-24 Utah. Little did we know that this was the last time they would score. As I sat in my chair I was hoping with every piece of me that Utah would not throw this one away as they had the past 2 years. But just then, when I though all hope was lost, former Heisman candidate, Max Hall fell apart. BYU's next five drives go as follows: interception, fumble, interception, interception, interception... All Max Hall's fault.  Ouch. Possibly the worst game I have ever witnessed from a QB. Utah's next 5 drives went like this: punt, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, end of game! END OF GAME!!!! UTAH ACTUALLY PULLED IT OFF!!! 48-24. Largest margin of victory since the much celebrated season of 2004. Sorry BYU, your quest for perfection was misguided. Utah quietly took the conference championship, your shot at a BCS
game and your quest for perfection from you. For now, the Utes are the darlings of the NCAA world being the only team to crash the BCS twice. There is always next year BYU fans. (And for your sake, hopefully Collie decides not to return.) But 'til then, please pull up a seat and watch the University of Utah, your arch nemesis, play in yet another BCS Bowl game.  Oh yeah, if you do end up playing Boise St...I hope you crush the living daylights out of them.  GO UTES!!!!

Miss Carrie Underwood....

Well, as some of you know I'm a BIG fan of Carrie Underwood. I love to watch American Idol and when I saw her sing the first time I voted for her all the way.  Nick was so nice to purchase me tickets to her concert last Wednesday. It was a blast, she was amazing to hear in person as well and very entertaining. Thanks Nick

* TWILIGHT at {MidNight} *

Finally it is here Twilight the Movie. The girls at work put together a party at 10 p.m. (mainly to keep ourselves up for our late showing) We had hot coco and lots of sweets and took a Twilight quiz. We also celebrated Kasey Birthday. So Happy birthday again Miss Kasey! Here are some pictures...

After all that fun, we headed down to Gateway to our midnight showing. It was great to see how they put the movie together to see if it matchs up to how you picture it. I tell you what it has been a long time since I've stayed up that late and I was tired especially the next morning! Sorry girls who had to go to work the next day! Thanks for the fun.

HE still makes ME laugh

Our 5 Year Anniversary was this past weekend and I wanted to just say a FEW things about my great Hubby. As some of you know I have had very interesting, roller coaster life. I've had more Downs then ups and was brought to HaPPyness when Nick made that Call to my house. We knew each other through school and were friends, just hadn't talked in a couple of years after we graduated and then he called me out of the blue. We Went on our first date and it was the best I've ever been on. He did things that every guy should do open doors, walk me to the door, pulling my chair out and when I got cold he gave me his jacket. Another thing he did was pay attention to ME, he asked me question about my life and what my interests were and my goals and wanted to know more about my parents and sign language and a BIG one was he made me laugh. I went home and told my dad about this date and all the thing he did and my dad cried (These were of happy/sad tears.) He was happy that I found someone who would treat me with respect and sad that I didn't always have that every time I went out with someone. I knew this was it, I had found the ONE. I can still say that Nick still does all those things now years later especially MAKING ME LAUGH. I am a lucky girl and look forward to many more years together with him.

10-and-OOOOOOOHHHHH!

Nick and I went to the game last night and forgot our camera, so here is a clip we found. Just a little glimpse at the fun we had. Nick's family has had season tickets since I've known him. So we usually attend most of the games. I love to go to enjoy the fun and excitement with him and someone in his family. Its more now like a date night. Anyways last night was Awesome. It was what they called Blackout where everyone wears black and the Ute's came out in new black  jersey's. In other game where they have done this they have lost, but we turned that around. GO UTES!

Y'all want some corn!

Redneck or what?
We went to a Pumpkin Patch and had sooo much fun.  Livi was a natural on the tractor.  So any of you wondering what to get her for x-mas, a John Deere wouldn't be a bad idea!  Anyway, here are some more pics.

..Lawn care..

Last week Nick went outside to do the lawn and Livi wanted to be with her Daddy! So we let her hangout outside while he did the lawn. She wanted to help out.

Thanks to Jea who gave her a lawn mower and we were able to put it in good use.
We still need to teach her to cut in straight lines!! She tought she was so funny laughing at herself for cutting Daddy off.

Then she got side-tracked and found a dandilion
She always has to smell everything

*ReAL Soccer

I am going to be posting a couple of post that are a little late sorry! Back to Soccer, last week we got a baby sitter for Olivia and went to dinner at TGIFridays (the food sucks!) and met up with some of Nick's family. It was great to see everyone and get to chat. Then we headed over to the new ReAL soccer field which was really cool. The weather was great. We grabbed some snacks and enjoyed the game. They ended the game winning  3-1 to top the night off.  You could say it was a great date night!
